Container shipping company Seaspan Corporation has announced a strategic partnership with maritime software provider JiBe, to use its range of applications as Seaspan’s preferred ship management platform.

“JiBe’s technology and future plans align with our vision to implement advanced digital solutions to standardise and streamline our operations,” said Rajesh Gopinathan, Head of Business Transformation at Seaspan.

“We are excited to embark on this implementation journey together.”

The move comes as Seaspan continues its expansion and newbuilding programme, while also seeking to enhance its current fleet management capabilities. The companies anticipate an initial go-live date within the first half of 2024, with full implementation expected to be completed by early 2025.

JiBe has an existing client base of some 2,000 vessels and a team of approximately 600 staff.

“We appreciate Seaspan’s pragmatic approach to vendor selection. Their dedication to understanding real-world user experiences sets them apart in the industry,” said Yariv Zghoul, CEO of JiBe ERP.

“Many prospective clients focus solely on feature lists, but Seaspan’s approach ensures they uncover critical insights that only real users can provide.”
